Pointe work is the extension of ballet danced on the toes. This class includes barre and centre practice, providing increased development of ballet technique. Pointe work is only taught after the age of twelve and must be supported by ballet training from an early age. This dance form requires hard work, yet dreams of “being a ballerina” are not without the fascination and desire to learn the art of pointe.
- Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Students are not permitted to wear jeans or outdoor shoes to any dance class. Long hair must be tied back.
- Costume orders are placed in early December for both competitive and recreational classes. Costume deposits are required and must be paid in full prior to ordering. Parents will be notified in November. Costume deposits and fees are non-refundable.
