Amanda started her dancing at 3 years old and has been at the studio since the beginning for 14 years. She is trained in jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical and hip hop and has also attended workshops and classes for contemporary, jazz funk, and musical theatre as well.
Amanda has now been competing for 6 years and has travelled to Toronto, Wisconsin Dells, Minneapolis, Chicago, Winnipeg and Las Vegas attending many different competitions such as KAR, American Dance Awards, Thunderstruck Canada, Midwest Starz, Hall of Fame, and the Lakehead Music Festival. Amanda has been taking B.A.T.D exams for tap, jazz and ballet and has attended the B.A.T.D Scholarships in Toronto for 3 years. There she attended workshops with very talented choreographers and dancers such as Miles Faber, Ian McLeod, David Norsworthy, Sarah Vance, and Lori Kargas.
Alongside competitions and exams, Amanda has also been a part of professional companies such as the Minnesota Ballet with the Nutcracker, in which her most recent year, 2016, she played one of the feature roles, Madeleine. She was also a part of the tour of the Wizard of Oz in 2011 as a munchkin.
Over the years Amanda’s love and passion for dance has grown and she is excited to share it with everyone!
